What is the main purpose of executive coaching interventions?

A relational coaching approach informed by systems psychodynamics

As an organizational psychologist working with a relational approach informed by systems psychodynamics, the main purpose of my coaching interventions is to enhance meaningful behavioral change through self-awareness and learning, and ultimately contribute to individual and organizational success.

Self-awareness is approached as a complex construct that can be developed through self-reflection (focus, evaluation, feedback). It provides individuals with an awareness of their internal state (emotions, cognitions, physiological responses) that drives their behaviors (values, beliefs, motivations, habits) and an awareness of how this impacts and influence others.

Bringing into consciousness what has previously been outside your awareness and gaining insight into how organizational performance is influenced by both conscious and unconscious behavior, you will uncover new options and grasp opportunities to take up your organizational role more effectively.

Facing complex and challenging leadership situations or during phases of organizational and personal change (career move, job transition, onboarding, midlife reorientation), we explore ‘the unthought’, what is happening ‘below the surface’, to get to the core of what matters, address resistance, remove obstacles, and increase your capacity to use multiple perspectives in clarifying and making sense of your situation.

You will be able to face change and confront strategic and leadership situations with greater confidence, equanimity, and impact. Your leadership skills and abilities will be uniquely enhanced according to who you are as an individual in your role, as well as the organizational dynamics that influence your task. Most leadership challenges are relational and emotional, and relying on an internal monologue is not always enough.

Change is a relational journey.

I am an organizational psychologist and executive coach, a graduate of INSEAD’s Executive Master in Consulting and Coaching for Change, trained at Hult Ashridge and at the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations. Experienced practitioner of corporate leadership development, I have leveraged psychological dynamics in global organizational settings for more than twenty years to foster insight, change and impact at individual and organizational levels.

I provide structured ‘thinking time’ :

> To leverage self-awareness to accelerate leadership impact.
> To foster trust and catalyze the emergence of healthy and efficient teams.
> To help navigate through critical situations at work to regain a sense of agency and the ability to think while “being under fire” - Under demanding conditions, one of the first indicators of suffering at work is the inability to think clearly.
